Its Japanese model, the X-Trail has been already introduced back at home, so we now what to expect from Nissan’s new hybrid SUV. In this powertrain, the engine produces 145 horsepower and 153 lb-ft, while the electric motor releases 40 hp. This Nissan’s Intelligent Dual Clutch setup is powered by a lithium-ion battery, and also, the drivetrain delivers more low-end torque for better acceleration and reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by 75 percent in comparison with a gasoline-powered Rogue.

Crossover’s exterior styling should be almost identical to the current model, but there will be some new tweaks on the interior. In addition, the 2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will feature improved safety system, which will include new options like a Forward Emergency Braking system, Intelligent Parking Assist and Around View Monitor. The rumors say that the SUV could come with better aerodynamics, so there might be some small revamps in the front end. Also, its fuel economy should be additionally with new, low-resistance tires. Of course, since this is a hybrid, the center console will add an energy monitor display.
