2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Leaked Ahead 2016 New York Auto Show

We must be honest and say that we were expecting to see Jeep’s new SUV to land in the Big Apple, but not the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. This vehicle was introduced as a special edition for the 2013 model year, and now the car manufacturer seems to prepare something similar for the 2016 New York Auto Show.  The carmaker didn’t say anything about this matter yet, but the first images are already revealed, so it is almost definitely that will make its public debut next week in New York.

2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk: Design Changes and Features

Judging by the pictures we have, it is pretty important to say that the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk definitely continues to be a true off-roader. However, we must also mention that the 2017 model won’t differ too much from the previous model. Moreover, the front end looks almost identical, and except of red tow hooks at the front and black decal on the hood, we don’t see anything new on the exterior styling. The interior carries the same story, so except of several small cosmetic changes, we don’t see any big news inside of the 2017 Jeep Trailhawk. Okay, there could be some red contrast stitching and cozy seating with supportive features, as well as standard large touch screen that runs Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system, but this is still far away from the completer redesign we expected.

Under the hood, this off-road beast won’t get what hope to see, so a 707 horsepower strong supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 Hellcat engine will have to wait for some better times. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will probably get something smaller, but also capable of all-condition capable “wrestling”. In any case, the off-road machinery will work with all-four wheels only, yet we are not sure about transmission options.

Estimated Price

Jeep’s Grand Cherokee ranges from $30K to $65K, so it is rather hard to determine where the carmaker plans to stop with this 2017 Trailhawk model. Our estimate is around $40,000, but we will found out more in the coming days.
