2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Gets Important Changes for the Next Year

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is already one of the most capable off-roaders at the market. It delivers an amazing, kind a sports-car handling and impressive capabilities off and on the road. However, we have a good reason to believe that the carmaker prepares some important changes, which will make the SUV more modern and pretty refreshed. The camouflaged 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport prototype spotted testing near the Nürburgring in Germany, and no matter the car has this “all-around” camo styling, we expect some minimalistic changes.

2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport: Exterior and Interior Changes

The stylish sport-utility vehicle seems to gets most of the changes on the front end. Here the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport gets an updated grille, which now seems to have different surrounds. In addition, the SUV will feature newly designed hood, which will provide a new and aggressive look. Both front and rear bumpers are revised, while there won’t be any changes on the headlights and taillamps. Inside, the 2017 Range Rover Sport won’t offer any big changes, but still, there will be some small styling tweaks like a new upholstery and possibly a new infotainment.

2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Gets More Power

Under the hood, the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport will definitely offer the same, yet revised engines. The powerful SUV got a new engine this year, so there will be nothing new except of the small power-boost. S, there will be a diesel option that features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine, which delivers a maximum output of 254 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. As for the gasoline version, a current supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine is speculated to get higher output, which also refers to an optional 5.0-lier engine. The most powerful version already delivers a respectable result of 550 horsepower, but the updated engine is rumored to produce a whooping power of 585 horses.

As you can see, the changes on the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport are not too comprehensive, but still they are big enough to “legitimate” a slight price increase. In any case, look for the updated model in late 2016, or eventually in early 2017.
