2018 BMW X7 M50i spied on the Nurburgring, gets 600 hp

The all-new X7 is scheduled for this year Frankfurt Auto Show, yet we believe it’s ready already. Still, BMW is making some final touches on its biggest SUV and we managed to catch a pre-production seven-seater on the Nurburgring while it was checking out where are the final limits. We can’t guarantee, but our spies claim that we this might be the rumored 2018 BMW X7 M50i.

If it is, you can expect a wild performance from a three-row SUV. The range-topping X7 will reportedly use a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine which will be able to deliver around 600 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of twist. The mighty mill will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Even though we can’t clearly see due to camouflage, BMW’s high-performance X7 will definitely have some unique styling details. The car manufacturer might add a bit bigger air intakes in the front, as well as larger heels with special brakes. Plus, the SUV should sit on a special suspension and lower to the ground. Around back, the 2018 BMW X7 M50i will spit out exhaust fumes through a quad-pipe layout.

If this is really the 2018 BMW X7 with a big “M”, we are pretty sure it’s not sharpening up for the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show. No, the high-performance model will come a little bit later probably at the 2018 Geneva auto show.
