Jeep announced a price of its Hellcat-powered SUV a few days ago. According to them, you will be able to buy the amazing 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk for $86,995, including destination fee. Customers can order the fastest SUV already, because the carmaker opens order books open on August 10.
For those who slept over last 12 months… the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is an SUV which uses a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine with 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain comes in a pair with all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission.
According to the manufacturer, the monster SUV will be the fastest ever of the kind. They are claiming it’s going to hit 0-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds and a quarter mile in just 11.6 seconds. “Unfortunately”, top speed is limited to 180 mph.
The 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk isn’t just any Grand Cherokee with a huge engine. No, the producer made a series of changes in order to adjust the SUV to the powertrain. They improved the full-time active transfer case with wider forged steel chain sprockets and added a limited-slip differential in the rear. This way, the vehicle will be able to control all this power.
In addition, crossover uses 15.75-inch two-piece vented Brembo rotors up front with 6-piston calipers, and 13.78-inch vented rotors in back, so the braking should not be a problem. Moreover, by hitting the brake at 60 mph, your Trackhawk will stop in just 114 feet. The car manufacturer wasn;t sure which tires will better fit to the amazing SUV, so it left you to choose between Pirelli 295/45Z R20 Verde all-seasons and Pirelli P Zero three-season.
