Moreover, we already spied a prototype of what seems to be the 2018 Rolls-Royce Cullinan. According to the carmaker, the high-end SUV will make its debut very soon, but it won’t become available until the first months of 2018.
Brand’s first high-riding model will be everything, but not the ordinary SUV. Still, the overall design will resemble the Phantom sedan without any doubt. In the front, there will be Phantom’s massive and chrome grille and very slim headlights. On the other hand, the front bumper appears to be all-new and very big. When you look the roof of the 2018 Cullinan, you can conclude why the people from Rolls-Royce prefer to call it all-terrain vehicle. The SUV sports wagon-like roof without any fancy-schmancy coupe lines. Of course, the testing model uses very big wheels, probably 22 inches big, and we expect nothing less from the production-ready model.
While you may say that it’s not the gorgeous exterior design you ever see before, you can’t claim such a thing for the interior. This is the place where the British automaker shows all its talent. We haven’t seen the cab yet, but expect plenty of handmade jobs in there. Of course the finest leather and wood will enhance the overall impression, while the dash should have some aluminum inserts. In contrast to the most of the SUVs that are mostly focused on the driver, the 2018 Rolls-Royce Cullinan will turn the back sets into the “wonderland”. After all, the owners of Rolls-Royce’s cars spend most of their time in the back seat.
The producer hasn’t said anything regarding the engine, but it’s not too hard to guess what’s going to be under the hood of the 2018 Rolls-Royce Cullinan. We bet on Ghost’s twin-turbo, 6.6-liter unit, which should be boosted, so there will be at least 600 hp and 600 lb-ft of twist. The ZF automatic transmission will be the only gearbox option.
We can’t say anything precise about the price of the 2018 Rolls-Royce SUV. Still, the latest reports claim it will go over $300,000 without any doubt.
