2018 Volkswagen Teramont Spied Uncovered (Official Video)

In contrast to the previous report about the upcoming 2018 Volkswagen Teramont, this time we have everything. As you may see, we spied the vehicle completely uncovered, so you can see both the exterior and interior styling of VW’s all-new SUV.

Styling and Features

We were pretty right, because the new three-row crossover SUV looks pretty much the same as the CrossBlue concept. The front end features concept’s square-shaped design with pretty impressive grille and large bumper. The headlights are square too and with LED treatment, while the fogs sport that chrome surrounds. As a matter of fact, the fascia gets plenty of chrome details, which gives the crossover a sense of mightiness. Around back, the 2018 Teramont isn’t completely unique, because the carmaker added Tiguan’s taillamps. Still, the chromed bumper and impressive exhaust tip will be the first thing you notice in the rear. From our point of view, the exterior bodywork got some changes, while the interior design looks exactly as the CrossBlue concept.

Performance

The cab gets an uncommon design with white leather treatment in the front, and chocolate-painted rear seating. The 2018 Volkswagen Teramont will be a three-row seven seats crossover, which usually means that there won’t be enough room inside. However, this time you’ll see the amazing layout with plenty of space in the back. The second row also features an amazing entertainment system with connectivity ports for two tablets. Still, since the upcoming Teramont has rather similar footprint as Ford’s Explorer, the commotion is guaranteed.

Like we said earlier, the 2018 VW Teramont will use Passat’s upgraded engine. The 3.6-liter V6 unit should be able to produce around 300 horsepower, which is quite enough power for this kind vehicle. The mid-size SUV will also pack an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged mill, while some markets could get a diesel unit too.

The interesting SUV will be introduced at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show this November.
