2019 Acura MDX A-Spec Priced At $55,795 Including Destination Charge


Honda’s premium division introduced the updated 2019 Acura MDX earlier this year at the 2018 New York Auto Show. Back then, it was pretty clear that the mid-size luxury crossover is going to be a significantly better option from its predecessor. Still, every improvement costs some money, so we were not sure whether the extra quality, is going to lift expenses and price or not. Now we do know because the Japanese automaker revealed pricing information of the favorite SUV.

According to Acura, the base 2019 MDX will be priced $45,295 including destination fee. The topping A-Spec model will, on the other hand, cost a lot more, which is not any wonder at all, because the car offers really everything you need and more. Anyway, in case you want the “vanilla” model, you will have to set out $55,795.

So what this additional $10,500 can provide?

Well, the 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec is basically a sporty variant of the SUV. It hosts dark accents and a bit aggressive design from the usual one. There are 20-inch wheels coupled with low profile tires and a significantly larger circular exhaust tips.  Apex Blue Pearl is the only available exterior color, while the front end gets totally revised look.

Inside, the A-Spec model offers sports seats which are black or red and leather-treated, as well as black Alcantara inserts with contrast stitching. The potential buyer will place its hands on a new thick-rimmed sport steering wheel, while the legs should hit new sport pedals. The new dashboard definitely looks better thanks to Desert Olive Ash wood trim.

The 2019 Acura MDX A-Spec is paired with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine only. The mill delivers 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque which power all-wheel-drive system via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
