Jeep is working on several new models, which will make its debut in several two or three years. Except it will introduce the all-new Wrangler and Compass’ replacement, the manufacturer also plans to revive the interesting Wagoneer that will definitely heat up things in the full-size SUV segment. However, although there are no official words about the next generation Grand Cherokee, we are pretty convinced that the amazing vehicle should be ready sometime in 2018 as the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee: What Will Be Changed
We haven’t seen any prototype yet, but our insider has managed to describe some of the important changes of the upcoming SUV. According to him, the 2019 Grand Cherokee is getting totally new styling. The exterior design will receive a big number of changes without any doubt. The front end will undergo an extensive redesign, so you can expect an all-new grille and headlights. Also, the carmaker might add more a bigger front bumper, as well as completely new and more streamlined hood. The interior will also get plenty of new stuff too. The current model is already very luxurious, but the successor will definitely get more premium materials and better technologies.
New Engine Under The Hood
However, the most important detail is currently hidden under the hood. At the moment, the Jeep Grand Cherokee offers three engines, but there will be more options in the near future. Except of the present 3.6-liter V-6, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and 3.0-liter turbodiesel, the vehicle will get an all-new 2.0-liter Hurricane engine. The amazing mill will deliver around 300 horsepower or even more. However, before the arrival of the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, the carmaker will introduce something very, very hot. There will be a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8, which will power the Trailhawk version. The amazing Hellcat engine delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which is really impressive.
