2019 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Spied Redesigned

While we were expecting to catch the testing mule of the next-generation Ram 1500, the manufacturer has surprised us with something completely different. The spy shot you see hear isn’t the new 1500, but the redesigned 2019 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty. Yes, yes, we are also surprised with it, but the HD model looks like it will sport some pretty big changes.

2019 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty: Styling Changes

The prototype hides the overall front end under the black camo, but judging to spy photo, both the hood and grille will feature the all-new design. As for the hood, it’s pretty obvious that there will be more aerodynamics there, while the grille keeps its crosshair styling, which will be a bit reworked. New styling tweaks continue on the headlights, bumper and fenders but we are unable to see the actual details. The revamped pickup truck will also feature a new suspension system. We managed to notice some differences on the front suspension parts, but there are no further details about it now.

Under The Hood

In the powertrain department, the 2019 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty will likely keep the current setup. There will be the boosted Cummins 6.7-liter inline-six diesel engine with the ability of producing up to 385 horsepower and 900 lb-ft of twist. This amount of power will enable the truck for really incredible towing results, which will be around 31,210 pounds. Except of the amazing oil-burner, the hard-working pickup truck will also continue with 5.7-liter V-8 and 6.4-liter V-8 options, which are speculated to be upgraded too.

The prototype we see isn’t production ready, so we will definitely catch more testing models in the coming months, and this will bring more information about the 2019 Ram 3500 HD. After all, the redesigned truck won’t come before 2018, so stay tuned.
