Our photographers managed to catch a prototype of the 2020 Audi A6 Allroad a few hours ago. The model which is heavily influenced by the A6 Avant is getting ready to receive some changes inside and out, while engine options should remain unchanged.
Performance-wise, the 2020 A6 Allroad Quattro will probably keep its turbocharged 3.0-liter TFSI V6 that develops 335 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. Also, the potential buyers are going to be able to get the amazing off-roader paired with a 3.0-liter TDI V6 engine which pumps out 282 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of grunt. Some sources claim that the automaker could add a 204-hp 2.0-liter mill, but that’s not confirmed so far. In any case, potential buyers of the impressive off-road vehicle will be able to choose between a seven-speed twin-clutch and eight-speed auto transmissions, which will send power to exclusively to a quattro all-wheel drive system.
As far as we can see, the refreshed A6 Allroad is getting a redesigned bumpers and new wheel arches, while we suspect that the model gets slightly increased ride height, too. The production version of the car will reportedly feature an all-new grille with six vertical chrome strips.
The cabin should get just some subtle updates, which will not change anything essential. Meaning, the 2020 Audi A6 Allroad will most likely offer the same 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment system, as well as an 8.6-inch lower display for climate controls. The dashboard, however, could receive some new styling cues, while we also expect a new upholstery treatment.
In addition to quite respective off-road abilities, impressive drivetrains, and good equipment, the updated Audi A6 Allroad will also offer plenty of cargo space. Unofficially, with rear seats folded down the car should provide 59.3 cu ft of luggage.
