Audi’s mighty wagon has been spied testing at the Nürburgring. The camouflage hides a hot, probably the hottest Avant ever, and guess what? The beast will reach North America as well.

The new generation model which will be introduced as the 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant will get two powerful options under the hood. The regular RS 6 Avant will swap its current 605-hp engine for a more powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that pumps out whopping 650 horsepower.

That’s not going to be everything. No, the automaker will add the hotter RS 6 Performance version which has some electricity in mind. The awesome topper will add an electric motor to the aforementioned V8 mill for a total output of exactly 700 horsepower. Both options will be paired with Quattro all-wheel-drive and eight-speed automatic transmission and both of them will gravitate towards 3 seconds 0-60mph sprint.

Although camouflaged, the testing prototype gives away the topping wagon. The redesigned model shows aggressive front fascia and enlarged air intakes in front, as well as oval exhaust tips around back. It’s pretty clear that we are looking at the 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant thanks to the wider track and fender flares. Though, we can’t skip without mentioning the large wheels that exploit beefy carbon-ceramic brake rotors.
