2020 Ford Expedition and Escape Hybrids, as well as 2020 Navigator Hybrid by 2019

Some earlier reports suggested that Ford is reconsidering to add the F-150 and Mustang hybrids by 2020. Today, however, we found out that Blue Oval has something in mind before that. According to the newest reports, Ford will introduce the Expedition and Escape Hybrids sometime in 2019. Plus, they will add a cherry on top with the 2020 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid.

2020 Lincoln Navigator Hyrbid

In case you forgotten, the Escape hybrid was available earlier, but it had to step away from the scene if favor of the C-Max. Things will be totally different in the future because the C-Max should be discontinued within the next year. Now, we can’t really say that the 2020 Escape Hybrid will be the replacement because Blue Oval plans to introduce at least 13 electrified models in a few next years. 13 may be not the final number at all. Ford signed a memorandum last week with Anhui Zotye Automobile. For those that don’t know, this is a Chinese electric-car producer, which is specialized for small electric vehicles. Even though we don’t believe there will be any kind of collaboration for the North American future hybrids, they will definitely build a few electric or hybrid small cars together.

The Expedition, Escape, and Navigator Hybrids are definitely coming, but it’s pretty clear that they won’t stop there. However, Ford CEO Jim Hackett will provide a “strategic update” to investors on October 3, so we should found out some specific details pretty soon.
