2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Pickup Truck Introduced

Blue Oval introduced a special off-road package to its heavy duty truck. This handsome blue-painted truck is actually the all-new 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor – the pickup which is here to fight against the Ram Power Wagon and the GMC Sierra HD AT4.

The Tremor offers some special off-road features indeed. When compared to the regular Super Duty, the truck comes better for a kit lift that raises its front suspension by two extra inches. There’s also a front axle with a limited-slip differential, and a locking rear differential, while these 18-inch matte black wheels come coupled with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires. According to the automaker, the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor is fitted with special off-road cruise control that calls itself Trail Control system. Since it’s fitted with about five inches front air dam than normal, the special pickup truck gets a totally different approach angle. Yes, they measure in at 31.65 and 24.51 degrees. With 10.8 inches of ground clearance and these 5 extra inches, the off-road vehicle is capable for water fording of 33 inches. Quite impressive, don’t you think? Finally, the truck hosts a rock-crawl mode, perfectly optimized for use in 4×4 low. The 2020 Super Duty Tremor protects its body with the front and rear skid plates borrowed from the FX4 model.

Ford hasn’t released performance numbers so far, but they’ve promised better towing and payload specs than the biggest rivals. Taking into account that the Ram Power Wagon comes fitted with a 6.4-liter V-8 mated to an eight-speed auto ‘box, we assume that the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor should be offered with both the 7.3-liter V-8 and the 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8. Of course, power will feed wheels through the company’s new and ultra-smooth 10-speed automatic transmission.

The car manufacturer will offer the off-road package with the crew-cab body style only. On the other hand, potential buyers will be able to pick between XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trim levels. Unofficially, the upgrade will cost about $2,000. The 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor will become available at the end of the year.
