2021 Ford Mach E Electric SUV To Be Introduced This November

Blue Oval’s all-new electric crossover is currently reaching the final phase of development. Allegedly, the automaker will preview the Mustang-inspired SUV this November most likely at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. However, the dubbed 2021 Ford Mach E won’t reach showrooms before the next spring or even summer.

First of all, the upcoming Mach E will look awesome without any doubt. That’s quite obvious since it’s going to mirror the carmaker’s iconic pony car which looks awesome at the moment. The idea to add ground clearance to the popular model isn’t something that Ford invented. In case you haven’t noticed, Chevrolet did the same thing with these-days popular Blazer which shares practically everything with the Camaro.

Still, things will be a little bit different with the 2021 Ford Mach E simply because we are talking about an all-electric model. Since it exploits electricity only, the biggest focus of the automaker is the drivetrain of the SUV. If the automaker does what has been promised, then there will be no worry for the crossover. According to Ford, the Mach E will outmatch the biggest rival, the Tesla Model Y, without any problem. Blue Oval claims over 300 miles of range under EPA, while WLTP estimates should be 370 miles of range. Quite impressive driving range, don’t you think?

Ford hasn’t announced any other information regarding the drivetrain, but we’ve heard that the setup is going to consist of two electric motors, one for each axle thus providing all-wheel-drive, and a 100-kWh battery.

The best part of the story called the 2021 Ford Mach E is the price. Yes, the electric SUV will be a pretty affordable model since the entry-point version should cost around $40,000.
