Judging by the teaser photos we see here, Audi has nothing to worry about in the future. The German carmaker plans to show the amazing Audi Q8 E-tron concept at the upcoming 2017 Detroit Auto Show. According to them, the production-ready vehicle won’t be introduced before 2019, so in case you want to drive this amazing SUV, you will have to wait a little bit more.
Audi’s full-size all-electric concept model will be one of the most interesting cars at the next NAIAS. It’s not just because of its EV nature, but due to the handsome and fresh exterior design. The range-topping SUV features really huge and dominant grille, which will probably appear on some other future Audi cars. There are also pretty angular headlights and unique bumper with plenty of air intakes. Altogether, the front fascia looks quite powerful and aggressive at the same time. As for the profile and rear end, the teaser photo reveals pretty sloped roof and dynamic, almost coupe-like rear hatch.
The Audi Q8 E-tron will share the MLB platform with the Q7. In addition, it will also get pretty the same measures and some of the engine option. The Q8 will have both plug-in hybrid and battery powertrains, but the German car manufacturer won’t miss the chance to offer some thirsty gasoline and diesel engines as well.
Of course, we will find out more details about the Audi Q8 E-tron, because the amazing concept arrives in 18 days.
