Facelifted 2020 Audi SQ7 Spied On Snow

Audi’s updated Q7 SUV has been spied testing again. However, this is not as big news as it is the prototype of the facelifted 2020 Audi SQ7, which was caught testing as well. As you can see, the performance model gets pretty much the same amount of exterior changes as the regular model. Truth to be told, the future SQ7 will look incomparable attractive, especially in the rear.

You are probably wondering what’s so special around back. Well, the 2020 Audi SQ7 received a pair of new exhaust cutouts and redesigned taillights. Nothing special, but still enough to make the SUV looks gorgeous.

Both, the front and rear bumpers are reshaped, plus the front bumper hosts new air intakes. The crossover SUV comes paired with more attractive headlights and different grille which has been borrowed from the Q8.

Interior changes will be largely influenced by Q8’s cabin. The SUV will kick out its current center stack in favor of a two-screen layout with HVAC controls in the middle. On the other hand, the digital instrument cluster seems to stay unchanged. The two new screens are fitted with Audi’s latest technologies, including voice activation with natural speech. The automaker will not skip the chance to couple the model with the latest features and advancements in driver-assist tech.

The updated high-performance three-row SUV will continue to use the 4.0-liter V8 TDI diesel engine. However, the mighty oil-burner will come improved and capable of delivering 429 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of twist at just 1,000 rpm. There will be no lag in its throttle thanks to the electric-powered compressor, which collect energy from a 48v electrical system.

According to our insiders, the 2020 Audi SQ7 will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.8 seconds. Top speed will stay limited to 155 mph, of course.

Since the German automaker intends to reveal the updated Q7 next year at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, we assume that the 2020 SQ7 won’t see the light of day before next summer.
