The new vehicle should be introduced in 2017 year, but there is no information whether it will be called Veracruz or somehow else. Hyundai New SUV Gets Genesis’ Drivetrain
The most interesting detail will lie under the hood of the Hyundai new SUV. The new flagship will likely come with an imposing 5.0-liter V-8 engine that comes with new Genesis as well. The big unit should be able to deliver around 450 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The drivetrain will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and with HTRAC all-wheel-drive setup. This really promises an amazing performance, good enough to fight with the best full-size SUVs.

The vehicle is also rumored to ride on a new flexible rear-wheel-drive platform, which uses the Genesis and it will use the next-generation Equus. The future premium vehicle from Hyundai is also speculated to feature, these days popular coupe-like exterior styling, so there might be some similar details with the Genesis coupe.
