Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain

We can’t really say what’s the best car on the planet at the moment, but we can guarantee you what’s going to be the best available off-roader. No, it’s not an SUV. It’s actually a wagon, or to be more precise a revamped wagon that comes from Mercedes. The awesome vehicle you are looking at features a familiar philosophy, because the car manufacturer introduced the system already with the G-Class G500 4×4² and six-wheeled AMG G63 6×6. However, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain appears to be the best option you can get. Yes, this isn’t some kind of a joke. The producer is reconsidering to offer a limited number of the amazing off-roaders.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain isn’t just a wagon with really big wheels, but a true off-roader. According to the carmaker, the car relies on portal axles borrowed from the G550 4×4². Wagon’s ground clearance is raised by 16.5 inches, which enables the vehicle to go through 19.6 inches of water. As you can see, the track is significantly wider, or to be more precise, it’s wider for 7.8 inches. Wheel arch extensions are made of pure carbon fiber. Wagon’s 20-inch big wheels work together with electronically controlled 4×4 systems making the E-Class All-Terrain capable to crawls forward wherever you imagine. Yes, when you bump on a field covered with rocks, fallen trees, or barriers, you can go forward without any problem.

Even though every All Terrain comes in pair with a diesel engine, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain gets no oil burner. Instead, the car manufacturer decided to add a 3.0-liter turbo V6 capable of delivering 333 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of twist. Yes, it’s really more than enough power for any off-road vehicle.

Like we said, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain will be offered worldwide, but the number of cars will be limited. The carmaker hasn’t set the price yet.
