Subaru is really working hard these days. The Japanese car manufacturer is preparing several new and some redesigned models for the next year. However, the biggest news is the all-new SUV, which is going to replace the slow-selling Tribeca model. According to the latest reports, the next mid-size Subaru SUV is coming in 2018, and will be totally different from everything that the automaker currently offers.
That is because the carmaker plans to build the next mid-size Subaru SUV with plenty of influence from the brilliant Viziv Future Concept. Of course the next mid-size Subaru SUV will be pretty larger from the concept. Moreover, the SUV will be bigger from the current Tribeca, so you can expect plenty of space inside, even if you decide to sit in the third row. Like we said, it will largely resemble the Viziv, so just imagine the longer and a little bit toned down crossover, and you will know what to expect.
Under the hood, the next mid-size Subaru SUV will get a 3.6-liter flat-six engine, which currently delivers 256 horsepower. The Japanese car manufacturer could also offer a hybrid option. This one will use a turbo engine and Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Automaker’s technology department will definitely equip the new SUV with the latest EyeSigh driver assistance system.
