According to the latest reports and the newest photos, Ford’s compact pickup truck will get one more chance to show how much worth. The all-new 2016 Ford Ranger is packed and ready to catch a second wind on the U.S. roads. The comeback is almost certain because we saw so many appearances in last couple mounts.

2016 Ford Ranger: Exterior and Interior Redesign

As you can see, the exterior layout of 2016 Ford Ranger is not a secret any more. The compact truck features the unique body styling that shows some pretty interesting details. In the front end, the 2016 Ranger has some elements that resemble the all-new Ford Edge. We think on the similar grille and headlights styling. Except of that, there is a roof rack and big alloy wheels, as well as the new and fresh design of the rear end. Inside, the compact pickup shows a new leather-clad dashboard design and new upholstery. In addition to exterior and interior redesign, the 2016 Ranger will also get also revamp its body structure. There should be lot of aluminum parts, which means the truck will feature less weight.

2016 Ford Ranger: Lighter Body and Good Engines

Lighter body of the 2016 Ford Ranger will be equipped with better engines as well. The first option will be a 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine that can deliver an amazing power of 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. The second option should be a 3.2-liter diesel engine, for which we don’t have further details at the moment. If the new Ranger comes at the market with these engines, we can expect a compact pickup that delivers the results of the bigger trucks, and at the same time consumes less fuel. The rumors say that it will be capable to tow over 3,000 and that it will offer a payload that exceeds 1,000. If this becomes the truth, we can expect one pretty serious player on the market.
