2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid with 48+ MPG

According to the latest reports, Nissan’s gas-electric Rogue will hit the U.S. showrooms very soon. Its Japanese model, the X-Trail has been already introduced back at home, so we now what to expect from Nissan’s new hybrid SUV. What we do not know is when it will come, but according to some rumors the vehicle will be introduced late this year, as the 2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid.

2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Features Amazing Performance

Now, the most important characteristics of the compact SUV will be its fuel economy. The 2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will deliver respective 48.4 mpg from a drivetrain that combines 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and single dual-clutch 40 electric motor. In this powertrain, the engine produces 145 horsepower and 153 lb-ft, while the electric motor releases 40 hp. This Nissan’s Intelligent Dual Clutch setup is powered by a lithium-ion battery, and also, the drivetrain delivers more low-end torque for better acceleration and reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by 75 percent in comparison with a gasoline-powered Rogue.

2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid: Styling and Safety

Crossover’s exterior styling should be almost identical to the current model, but there will be some new tweaks on the interior. In addition, the 2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will feature improved safety system, which will include new options like a Forward Emergency Braking system, Intelligent Parking Assist and Around View Monitor. The rumors say that the SUV could come with better aerodynamics, so there might be some small revamps in the front end. Also, its fuel economy should be additionally with new, low-resistance tires. Of course, since this is a hybrid, the center console will add an energy monitor display.

Nissan Rogue Hybrid: Price

First estimates show that the 2016 Nissan Rogue Hybrid might come with very affordable price. The base, two-wheel-drive model will cost $23,300, while the all-wheel-drive model should cost around $27,000.
