2017 Ford Super Duty on aluminum diet, but 24 times stiffer than previous

Ford’s baddest and meanest pickup truck is finally ready. The manufacturer has just unveiled the next-generation Super Duty, which will hit the showrooms late next year. The 2017 Ford Super Duty will get rather expected features from the smaller F-150. It means that the most powerful pickup from the Blue Oval Company arrives with an all-new body structure that combines high-strength, military-grade and aluminum. In addition, the new-generation Super Duty will also offer the new tech and pretty powerful engines, both gasoline and diesel.

2017 Ford Super Duty: Changes and Features

The new body structure will certainly shave the weight from the 2017 Ford Super Duty. The first information indicate that the new model should come around 350 pounds lighter, which is amazing. However, except it will come lighter, the truck will get one more benefit from its alloy body. It will raise its rigidity, and moreover, the carmaker says that the new version should be 24 times stiffer than the old one. Since in is lighter and yet with stiffer fully boxed frame, the new version promises better towing and hauling capabilities. As for the trim levels and series, the pickup truck will be once again offered in F-250, F-350 and F-450 verions and XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims.

The new-generation Ford Super Duty will also include new tech features like a new adaptive cruise control, LED lights, monitoring with seven cameras, also a camera-based towing, tire pressure monitoring, active front steering, as well as the as lane departure, blind spot warning and collision warning.

2017 Ford Super Duty gets powerful engines
