GMC is expanding rapidly the amazing All Terrain X package. After the Canyon and Sierra 1500 models, the car manufacturer adds the option to the bigger HD Sierra. Yes, they just introduced the all-new 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X, which is everything, but not the ordinary pickup truck. Except of the impressive powertrain that will outperform all the current rivals, this off-road beast offers pretty good equipment and brilliant styling.

2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X: Engine Options

Under the hood, the new Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X will offer you two choices. You can pick the gasoline model, which features the unchanged 6.0-liter V8, which will continue to deliver 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the pickup truck offers an impressive oil-burner drivetrain. It’s the all-new Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 that is capable to develop 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.

Improvements and Changes

The impressive diesel engine isn’t everything from the amazing pickup truck. The 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X also features several important upgrades, such as the Z71 off-road suspension package and underbody protection. The Z71 suspension system includes performance Rancho shocks, Hill Descent Control. The carmaker added 18-inch wheels, as well as special Goodyear tires. The tires get an aggressive tread layout, which is quite perfect for off-roading.

The exterior styling is also mildly updates, so the pickup truck now sports several new details like black exterior mirrors and a black sport bar in the rear. A body colored door handles and radiator grille surround looks pretty cool too. Eaton automatic locking rear differential is upgraded, while the cabin gets heated steering wheel and all-weather floor liners. The only flaw of the upcoming off-road champion is that there are only two exterior colors, so you can choose between Black Onyx and Summit White.

The 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X will be on sale in the first months of the upcoming year, so the manufacturer should announce the price very soon.
