2017 Infiniti QX30 — New Compact SUV from Nissan’s Premium Lineup

Infiniti’s QX30 Concept has been spotted in production form while it was testing its road abilities, so it can be concluded that the carmaker may release this all-new vehicle very soon. However, the rumors say that this tiny SUV won’t be introduced before the beginning of 2016 year. The prototype of 2017 Infiniti QX30 that we saw fully camouflaged clearly shows that it will come pretty unchanged in comparison with the concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

2017 Infiniti QX30: Platform and Design

Essentially, the 2017 Infiniti QX30 will come from the same family as the Q30, but still there will be some features that give this vehicle more crossover-SUV characteristics. This applies particularly to the body, which should be further strengthened and ultra-light by using a MFA platform that involves light and rigid materials. The exterior design isn’t something you can see every day at the street. It will rather be a unique car that features highly dramatic design and premium characteristics, specially adapted to young drivers. Its rugged layout will get a bulging front bumper and aggressive headlights styling in the front, as well as big and stylish wheels. The interior design will likely follow the exterior, so there must be lots of stylish details.

2017 Infiniti QX30: Engine and Price

Under the hood, the SUV will get an amazing 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and 4Matic all-wheel drive system. It will be coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission and predestined for great performance that will be able to compete with its biggest rivals. This turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger will come from Mercedes’ portfolio, so the outstanding driving abilities should be guaranteed.

Of course, the amazing performance will significantly affect the price, which is rumored to start at $30,000 or more. The official debut of 2017 Infiniti QX30 isn’t scheduled, but the 2016 Detroit Motor Show sounds like a good place for a start.
