2017 Range Rover Sport Sports Interior and Exterior Refresh (Spy Photos)

Land Rover is working on the facelifted version of the Range Rover Sport, which is scheduled to arrive before the end of this year. The interesting SUV came as an all-new model in 2013, so it was really important to give the vehicle something new and fresh. Judging by the latest spy photos, the 2017 Range Rover Sport will adopt plenty of useful features, especially inside.

2017 Range Rover Sport: Updated Styling and New Infotainment

This mid-cycle refresh doesn’t bring a big number of changes on the exterior, but still, the mid-size SUV looks quite interesting. The front end sports a redesigned multi-strip honeycomb and new bumper styling, which features new completely and larger vertical air intakes. The bodywork looks more aggressive than before, but this is rather expected because the manufacturer used the SVR model as the inspiration. The crossover will get a little bit restyled light, both on the front and rear sides, as well as new alloy wheels.

The most interesting part of the refresh will happen inside of the vehicle. The 2017 Range Rover Sport will have the Land Rover’s latest infotainment system, which offers a larger touchscreen. It is likely to see the new InControl Touch system that was presented with the updated Evoque crossover, so don’t expect nothing less than a 10.2-inch touchscreen. The screen offers streetview map options, pinch ‘n’ zoom function and a customizable home screen, as well as a 1280×542 pixel resolution that will be truly better from the current 8-inch system.

Engines and Arrival

According to reports, the updated 2017 Range Rover Sport will not get any new engine, but still the existing options could be boosted a little bit. This especially refers on the SVR model that will get the same V8 Supercharged 5.0-liter mill, but instead of 550 horsepower, the unit will deliver around 575 ponies. As for the oil-burners, there will be two 3.0-liter diesel options. The first option provides 255 hp, while the stronger unit produces 302 horsepower. In addition, the carmaker will introduce the 2017 Range Rover Sport Hybrid diesel, which will deliver 349 hp.

The refreshed Range Rover Sport will be introduced at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in October.
