2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare Features A 5.0-Liter V-8 With 600 HP

Ford’s new generation Raptor may become one of the best pickup trucks in the segment. It’s handsome, useful and pretty efficient. However, it comes without a V8 engine, which is a nightmare for a lot of fans. Well, there is a solution, because there will be something more powerful from the current 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. It isn’t completely Ford’s, yet the 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare definitely impressed everyone at last week’s 2016 SEMA show.

If you didn’t know, Rush is Ford’s tuner, and this isn’t the first time they made such a vehicle. Back in 2007, Rush introduced the F-150 pickup with a 5.4L engine that produced 445hp and 500lb-ft. this time however, they unveiled the 2017 F-150 Nitemare with something even more impressive. The pickup truck features a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, which is capable to deliver a whopping output of 600 hp and 557 lb-ft of torque. According to the tuner, the amazing vehicle will be able to speed up to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. You will be able to choose between t two- or four-wheel drive, and to add some pretty cool off-road kit, which includes full Fox suspension system at the corners, and upgraded springs and shock.

Except of the impressive engine, the 2017 Roush F-150 Nitemare gets some styling changes inside and out. The bodywork is boosted with some handsome graphics on the hood and flanks, and Rush 20-inch wheels. In addition, the truck sports Roush’s side-exit exhaust, as well as a bit restyled grille and bumpers. The cab is on the other hand pretty much the same. There are just special badges and an available leather upgrade of course.

Rush hasn’t said anything regarding the availability, but we are sure it will announce all the details in the coming days. On the other hand, the price will start $22,600 above the base model.
