In case you want something wilder from the new Audi SQ5 you can either wait for the all-new RS Q5 to arrive sometime next year or you can simply get a special, ABT-tuned model. The 2018 Audi SQ5 ABT Sportsline is featuring some amazing extras.
The SUV is still using its 3.0-liter turbo engine, but in place of thus far 354 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, you will get exactly 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of twist. This way, the high-riding vehicle should be able to outmatch its usual 0-62 mph print, which is currently limited to 5.4 seconds. Moreover, we expect to drop below 5 seconds without any problem. On the other hand, top speed should stay limited to 155 mph.
The extra power isn’t everything the ABT-tuned SQ5 offers of course. The amazing SUV features more aggressive bodywork with plenty of new details. A wider aero kit includes a new front-lit, different fender flares, and side skirts, as well as a rear wing and a rear diffuser. Up front, the 2018 Audi SQ5 ABT Sportsline sports a but bolder air intakes and a slightly restyled grille, while the back of the car hosts quad exhaust tips and black carbon trim. The SUV is also using bigger 22-inch extra-wide aluminum wheels paired with wider tires.
There’s nothing on the interior styling at the moment, but there’s going to be some cabin changes without any doubt. Still, for the info, you will have to wait for the 2018 Geneva Motor Show because ABT Sportsline plans to introduce the upgraded SQ5 exactly in Switzerland.
