Buick is getting ready to introduce the refreshed 2018 Envision. The camouflaged prototype has been spied camouflaged already, so we can anticipate what will be changed. The small luxury SUV won’t get anything dramatic, but the exterior is definitely getting some updates, which will be the most evident in the front and rear ends. We haven’t managed to see the new interior, yet it is quite possible that there will be some changes as well.
2018 Buick Envision: This Will Be New
As you see, the testing model is heavily wrapped in the front, so it’s quite hard to conclude in what’s new. However, it appears that the front fascia sits a bit lowered and may be more aggressive. The new grille is almost definitely smaller, while the headlight styling should get really large projectors. Around back, the small crossover could sport the redesigned taillights and possibly more pronounced bumper with a new exhaust pipe design. Of course, the facelifted model should be offered with two or three new exterior colors.
Maybe More Power
Don’t expect any big changes under the hood of the 2018 Buick Envision. The SUV will continue to use a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder, yet the current output of 197 hp and 192 lb-ft should be rounded to 200 hp and 200 pound-feet of twist. On the other hand, the optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder should stay unchanged. It delivers 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of twist, which is more than enough for the small SUV. The turbo mill comes matted to a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, while the naturally aspirated unit offers standard front-wheel drive, yet you have to pay extra for AWD.
Price Won’t Be Changed
According to rumors, the facelifted 2018 Buick Envision will be introduced in the second half of 2017. The price won’t change at all, meaning you will have to set out around $42,000.
