2018 Faraday Future EV SUV Teased Ahead of CES Debut

Tesla’s Model X won’t be alone anymore.  As we announced a few months ago, the all-new 2018 Faraday Future EV SUV is almost ready. Moreover, the car manufacturer has released several teasers ahead of its debut at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Judging by the teasers (and earlier spy shots), we could say that the upcoming vehicle could easily come as some kind of hatch (let’s say it sports Prius’ styling cues), but the carmaker will definitely insist on calling it “SUV”, so why not? In any case, it’s pretty clear that the 2018 Faraday Future EV SUV sports plenty of aerodynamics.

The carmaker hasn’t released any specific details about the upcoming EV SUV, yet we know it will use the VPA architecture. Except it’s specially made for electric vehicles, the platform is also highly stretchable, which promises more Faraday Future cars in the near future.

Drivetrain wise, well, we have to admit that we don’t know much at the moment. Still, it’s certain that the 2018 Faraday Future EV SUV is getting a lithium-ion battery pack from LG Chem. They also promise the highest energy density for a production automotive battery, but let’s wait for the official numbers.

After all, the all-new EV SUV will be introduced very soon, because the 2017 CES is scheduled for the next January (5-8) in Las Vegas.
