We haves spied several testing mules of the upcoming E-Pace, but never the production model. The guys from Caranddriver managed to catch a crossover that appears to be pretty much finished and quite ready for the official debut. According to them, the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace will be introduced early this year, so this got to be the final version.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace: Looks Amazing

The prototype you see here features pretty impressive and quite surprising exterior design. There are plenty of unexpected curves, so Jag’s small SUV might become a really interesting option in the future. The carmaker added three bulges on the hood, which makes the front end unique and powerful at the same time. They are still hiding the front fascia, but it seems that there won’t be surprises because the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is getting the same treatment as the bigger brother. Yes, we noticed F-Pace’s grille and bumper, as well as the aggressive headlights. The real fun starts at the sides. The manufacturer did a great job with the bumps on the sides and highly aggressive rooflines, so the overall design looks quite dynamic. Of course, the sloped roof leaves no room for the third row of seating, but we think that the automaker has no such a plan at all. The 2018 E-Pace should provide seating for five, yet there will be more than enough space without any doubt.

In contrast to the F-Pace that isn’t the most spacious crossover in the class, Jaguar’s smallest SUV will be totally different. This is because they won’t share the same platform. The manufacturer decided to put the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace on the same platform as the Land Rover Discovery Sport. This further means that they could share the powertrain system too. You can expect a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 240 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.

The 2018 E-Pace crossover will make its debut very soon, but it won’t become available before the end of 2017. It is early to speak about the exact price, yet we think it will start a bit over $30K.
