2018 Jeep Wrangler’s Interior Spied: Looks Really Good

After a ton of “maybe and possibly”, we finally found out when and where it’s going to arrive a long-time awaited new-generation Jeep Wrangler. The iconic off-road SUV will definitely make the official debut at the upcoming 2017 Los Angeles auto show in November. This further means it will become available early next year with the entry price of around $25K. However, before all this happens, the carmaker needs to do some final tests, and while they were doing on that, we managed to catch the 2018 Jeep Wrangler’s interior.

Judging by the spy shots we got, the new cab will be a lot more interesting from today’s interior. Okay, we admit there are certain similarities here, but it’s pretty clear that the carmaker saved only the best details such as circular air vents, flat dashboard, and the unavoidable three-spoke steering wheel.

On the other hand, everything else is completely new and better without any doubt. As you may notice, the prototype features the newest Uconnect 3.0, with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, which tells us that this is some higher trim level. The base model will likely feature a smaller 5.0-inch screen, but what’s a lot more important, the new infotainment is significantly better, quicker, and easier from the previous version.

There are several buttons right below the touchscreen, which are supposedly for automatic climate and audio controls. We are not sure what’s going to have the base model, yet this prototype which is most likely some higher trim level has the switches for a heated steering wheel, parking-assist sensors, and engine stop/start system. Plus, there are four auxiliary buttons in the bottom-right corner that are in charge for four-wheel-drive, additional lights, and some other off-road functions. The “MEDIA” door probably hides a USB port, yet we think there will be at least one more somewhere else.

We haven’t touch anything inside of the cabin, so we can’t say whether the 2018 Jeep Wrangler’s interior features better or worse materials. However, the successor definitely looks better.

Stay tuned for updates.
