2018 Kia Ceed SW: Official Images and Info

Kia’s new-gen Ceed hatchback is going to be introduced at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but you probably know this already. What you may not know it that the car manufacturer prepares one more Ceed for the show. It’s the 2018 Kia Ceed SW. The Sportswagon is going to share most of its features with the hatchback sibling, though significantly longer bodywork is something that gives the vehicle one extra quality.

Longer rear overhangs are the crucial point of the 2018 Ceed SW. Thus, the amazing wagon will provide exactly 602 liters (21.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity), which can be enlarged with a simple fold of rear seats to 1,650 liters (58.2 cubic feet). The cabin design will be something that the more practical wagon is going to share with the hatchback for sure. Kia will make the dash clean and simple, and coupled with a pair of square vents in corners. The infotainment touchscreen seems to be large enough and at the right place, while the door grabs and handles sport quite premium look.

The 2018 Kia Ceed Sportswagon will mostly rely on turbocharged three- and four-cylinder engines. More precisely, the base option will exploit a 120-hp turbo 1.0-liter three-cylinder, while the mid-ranged wagon is going to rely on a turbocharged 1.4-liter with around 140 horsepower. The topper should host a 2.0-liter turbo mill, which will reportedly deliver almost 250 horsepower. A six-speed manual gearbox will standard, though the buyers will be able to switch on a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for some extra money.

The amazing wagon will not reach the U.S. ground for sure because the demand for this kind of vehicles appears to be pretty low at the moment.
