2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Coupe: New Spy Shots and Latest Details

This isn’t the first time we see the awesome 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Coupe while it’s doing some testing, but we can’t pass by the new prototype without saying hello. Plus, in contrast to the previous version that was using just the monotonous white paint, this specific model sports a handsome and production-ready color, which is called Designo Hyacinth Red Metallic. The German car manufacturer used this kind of paint for the all-new E-Class All Terrain, but it fits better to the outstanding coupe-like SUV without any doubt.

However, apart from the new color option, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Coupe doesn’t show anything else new. It still uses the camouflage for its front and rear ends, so we can’t figure out the exact details. Still, it’s quite obvious it’s using AMG’s aggressive, which is particularly evident that features an amazing protruding grille, massive bumper and pretty large holes that should help the engine to cool off. In the back, the coupe-SUV sports a special bumper and signature quad-exhaust tips, while the large wheels come with really mighty brakes.

Like we announced earlier, this sweet and sexy coupe crossover will use an impressive twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine. Yet despite some reports claim it will be able to cough out a whopping output of 600 ponies, we are pretty sure it won’t be able to reach these figures. Instead, the car manufacturer will introduce the regular (if there is anything regular here) AMG GLC63 and AMG GLC63 S. The first one will use be able to pump out “just” 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of twist. On the other hand, the topper will get a little bit more power, probably 503 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. Of course, both options will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

According to our insider, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Coupe should be introduced before summer, which leads us to the upcoming 2017 New York Auto Show. The amazing coupe-like SUV should be priced at $80,000, or even higher.
