2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Spied Almost Naked

BMW’s X3 M model got the new rival before it’s introduced. Of course, the biggest opponent comes from Germany, yet it’s not the Porsche Macan GTS, but the all-new 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63. The impressive crossover has been spied today almost totally uncovered. Still, judging by the latest reports the vehicle will be introduced sometime later, probably at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

From what we can see here, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 will be one very interesting high-performance SUV. It gets plenty of aerodynamic cues, especially in the front, as well as some tweaks that are peculiar to AMG. The front fascia is partly camouflaged, yet we are pretty sure that beneath the black camouflage the producer hides a massive grille and really large air intakes. Around back, the crossover already unveils AMG’s specific exhaust tips, but it still covers the rear bumper, which will apparently have something new.

The exterior details are important, but the most prime thing here. This is because the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 gets a quite big “heart” under the hood. Yes, the gorgeous crossover will feature a biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that will be able to pump out plenty of power. We are not sure how much ponies the carmaker actually plans, but since the mill can produce up to 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of twist, the output may be really monstrous. If you ask us, we think there will be around 500 horses, which is more than enough. In any case, the outstanding V8 engine will be paired with a multi-clutch 9G-Tronic and 4Matic all-wheel-drive. Since we don’t know the exact output figures it’s pretty hard to estimate how fast may go the 2018 AMG GLC63. Still, we think it will hit 60 mph in less than 4 seconds.

Stay tuned for updates.
