2018 Nissan Navara SUV Shows The Production-Ready Bodywork

This is the third time to catch the new Navara-based SUV, yet the first time we can see the actual SUV. Until now, the manufacturer was testing just the future mechanics with mules made of Navara and Pathfinder, while this model appears to carries the production bodywork. Well, not exactly the production-ready design, but it shows us what we can expect from the 2018 Nissan Navara SUV (or whatever it will be named).

2018 Nissan Navara SUV: New Styling Details

Judging by the spy shots we have, we can conclude that this truck-based SUV will be positioned above the Rogue. At the moment, some other markets have the X-Trail at that place, but the 2018 Navara SUV will be something completely different and more luxurious, yet off-road oriented. Yes, the manufacturer plans to build the mid-size SUV which will have everything you can possibly imagine, and plus, it will likely have optional third row of seating. Exterior wise, the vehicle will definitely keep Navara’s front end styling with the distinctive V-motion grille, while the headlights appear to be slimmer. In contrast to these days popular slopping roof design, this car will likely use more flat lines. On the other hand, the rear hatch looks pretty interesting, and all-new for Nissan’s lineup. Still, the taillights look quite familiar and borrowed from the previous Pathfinder, so let’s say that there are more jobs to be done.

Gasoline and Diesel Options

Under the hood, the 2018 Nissan Navara SUV will likely offer a 2.5-liter gasoline and 2.3-liter turbo diesel. Both options will have turbo and twin-turbo choice. The units will be coupled with either a standard six-speed gearbox or optional seven-speed auto transmission.

The interesting truck-based SUV will be introduced in late 2018, so there is plenty of time for more information. Moreover, we expect to found out the actual name in the coming days, so stay tuned.
