2018 Ram Power Wagon Hellcat: Specs and Spy

Ram is working hard on the redesigned version of its most wanted 1500 model, so we might see the new version early next year. However, the car manufacturer plans to add something more interesting a little bit latter, and how we see it, this will be the best pickup truck ever. Well, maybe not the best ever, but the most powerful for sure. No, it’s not the Power Wagon. This will be better and more powerful, and will be named the 2018 Ram Power Wagon Hellcat.

2018 Ram Power Wagon Hellcat: Engine Specs

Compared to the regular Power Wagon that features a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 with 410 hp and 429 lb-ft, the new heavy duty truck is getting the Hellcat treatment, so you will get an amazing supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V-8 engine , which is capable to pump out an astonishing power of 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be paired with an eight speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive, so it could be an amazing option for high-speed off-roading. Moreover, its re-tuned suspension and high-clearance will be the ideal option for all terrains, especially if we know that the pickup truck is also getting mud-terrain tires (possibly Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac) and large at least 17-inch big wheels.

Styling and Rivals

The 2018 Ram Power Wagon Hellcat will also add several new styling changes. It’s nothing significant, yet the front end is getting a large hood scoop and all-black treatment. Weird or not, the testing model doesn’t have bumper at all. Still, the production truck will offer some bumpers, as well as both the regular and mega cab configurations.

The high-performance pickup truck is going to be the biggest rival of Ford’s F-150 Raptor. Moreover, the 2018 Ram Hellcat will easily outmatch its Blue Oval competitor, because the Raptor is getting “just” 450 horsepower, which is nothing compared to the 707 HP from the amazing Hellcat.
