2020 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S SUV Looks Good In Its Blue “Suit”

Just a day after we’ve spied a coupe version of AMG-treated GLE 63, our photographers managed to catch a testing prototype that appears the most potent version of regular high-performance SUV. Yes, this partly camouflaged blue-painted high-riding model is actually the upcoming 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S.

The awesome SUV is getting a really mighty option beneath the hood. According to our sources, the automaker will connect the model with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 that should be capable of delivering 630 horsepower. All that power will travel to a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system via a 9-speed automatic transmission. The most potent GLE will be paired with a special suspension that keeps the vehicle closer to the ground. Also, the big wheels are coupled with some beefy calipers. Unofficially, by using the new drivetrain, the 2020 GLE 63 S should be able to speed up from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Not bad result for the big car, isn’t it?

Styling-wise, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S gets a few interesting cues, especially at the ends. In the front, the mighty SUV hosts the attractive Panamericana grille and interesting LEDs, as well as additional air intakes at the corners. Around back, Mercedes will couple the model with a quartet of exhaust tips. As you can see, the new taillights feature quite impressive graphics.

The spicy model will definitely receive a unique interior treatment, but we are still unable to see what’s cooking behind the doors.
