Alfa Romeo’s first-ever SUV seems to be undergoing a mid-cycle update. The awesome vehicle is getting ready to receive a number of mostly cosmetic changes and our photographers were at the right place to catch the 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio while it was burning tires on the hot Spanish asphalt. Based on the spy shots, the gorgeous-looking crossover will host a number of new details at the ends.
More precisely, the updated model appears to be getting new bumpers, both front and rear, as well as sets of new lights also at both ends. The grille looks unchanged for now, but that might change when the production model arrives. Of course, the Italian car manufacturer will not skip the chance to add a few new exterior paints too. In case you haven’t seen, the particular prototype hides its logo too. Interestingly, word on the street is that this new model is going to get the updated corporative logo as well. Maybe, but that hasn’t been confirmed so far…
Inside, the testing model reveals a new center console along with the redesigned gear shifter. The automaker decided to move the button for electronic park brake. Yes, the feature has been relocated next to transmission leaver. Although the prototype doesn’t show that, the 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio will offer an optional digital instrument cluster too; plus, today’s infotainment system should suffer certain updates.
According to the latest reports, the refreshed SUV is going to get certain improvements under the hood as well. Nothing has been confirmed so far, but the latest rumors claim that the 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is going to get a hybrid aid without any doubt. More precisely, the current strong and responsive turbo-four engine will get help from a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
