2021 Ford F-150 Super Cab Spied In The Colorado Rocky Mountains

Blue Oval’s bestselling nameplate has been spied testing again. Unlike earlier prototypes of the pickup truck which showed the big Crew Cab only, the camouflage hides the 2021 Ford F-150 Super Cab. This particular prototype was caught in the Colorado Rocky Mountains at high elevation testing. Although completely wrapped around, the redesigned full-size truck shows what’s going to be changed from the outside:

First of all, the next-gen F-150 gets a pair of new, C-shaped and vertically-styled headlights. The interesting lights surround the redesigned and most probably larger grille. We can’t see the front bumper at the moment, yet we are pretty sure that the pickup is going to get a reshaped one. At sides, the prototype doesn’t reveal any big differences when compared to its predecessor. Well, okay, the front side window appears to be a flat bottom, while side mirrors seem to be repositioned lower at the doors, but that’s pretty much everything. On the other hand, the rear end shows larger and wider tailgate and a pair of new taillights. This particular prototype of the 2021 Ford F-150 Super Cab uses traditional exhaust pipes at the moment. Based on simple wheels, we can conclude that this one could be either the XL or XLT trim level with a 6.5-foot bed.

As you see, Ford’s full-size truck will get no revolutionary changes from the outside. However, things will be drastically different under the hood of the next-gen F-150. The automaker will not only introduce a hybrid model but a fully-electric truck. Still, based on the exhausts, this one is definitely featuring a turbocharged internal combustion engine under the hood.
