Refreshed 2019 Mitsubishi L200 Spied Wearing Camouflage

A prototype of the facelifted 2019 Mitsubishi L200 has been spotted testing. The pickup truck which is also known as the Triton was spied completely camouflaged, but even so, it’s quite simple to understand what’s cooking beneath the wrappings.

Exterior Changes

As you can notice, the front-end design of the pickup is definitely getting a totally new design, starting from the redesigned headlights. More precisely, the lights are completely new, as the carmaker switched the old and large set of lights with the ultra-thin headlights and some additional light below. The split-headlight design isn’t something that Mitsubishi invented just now. No, the feature has been available with several Hyundai models, too. More precisely, the new Santa Fe and Kona crossover SUVs have the same treatment. Anyway, the 2019 Mitsubishi L200 sports a totally new hood design, as well as a redesigned grille, which is definitely narrower. The rear end, on the other hand, gets a set of larger taillights without any doubt. Plus, the new rear bumper is more integrated into the bed and slightly smaller than before. The prototype has some camouflage over the wheels, but we are not so sure is there really anything to hide or the carmaker want to trick us. In any case, we can’t imagine anything else except some special paint for the six-spoke wheels.

Interior Update and New Tech

Inside, the 2019 Mitsubishi Triton (L200) features some heavy camouflage, too. This means that the automaker prepares certain interior changes, including revised instrument cluster and more supportive seats. In addition, the refreshed pickup truck will get better tech, as the manufacturer introduced standard Trailer Stability Assist and Smartphone Link Display Audio infotainment systems.

Under The Hood

There’s no information regarding the changed under the hood at the moment. Still, we are pretty sure that the automaker has something new in mind, simply, because of the current option lack behind the biggest rivals such as VW Amarok, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger and Nissan Navara. Meaning, the 2019 Mitsubishi L200 will either get an updated engine with more power and torque, or something completely new.
