2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE Rendered and Detailed

Mercedes is putting some final touches on its totally redesigned mid-size SUV ahead of the official arrival which is scheduled for the second part of the year. Still, since there’s plenty of spy shots that reveal most of the details, we’ve got some rendering photo before the arrival of the awesome high-riding vehicle. If you ask us, it would be great to see the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE in this suit, but what do you think about the rendering?

Chances to see this like new-gen GLE are really big. The rendering shows Mercedes’ latest design cues, which are used for most of the redesigned models. Judging by the image, the mid-size SUV will look more dynamic than the predecessor. The vehicle hosts an amazing grille and impressive bumper, which sucks plenty of air through these large air intakes. The new rooflines are sleeker than before, which is expected before the current model looks somehow too boxy.

Inside, well, we are sure that Mercedes won’t skip the chance to offer a new and advanced MBUX infotainment system which made debut with the A-class subcompact. The feature will be paired with a dual-screen layout. In addition, the SUV will also host the latest semi-autonomous system and the newest safety active safety suit, as well as totally new seats and upholstery treatment.

The redesigned 2019 Mercedes GLE will ride on the new MHA platform. The architecture supports the larger GLS SUV as well. Though, in contrast to the GLS that features three rows of seating, the new GLE will stick to the two-row arrangement.

The platform will allow plenty of changes under the hood. The U.S.-specs new-generation GLE will use a new inline-six engine as a standard option which will most likely deliver 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The carmaker could eventually add a more potent, turbocharged and supercharged 3.0-liter mill which will be able to pump out 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of twist. The awesome AMG model will use a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 of course, while the manufacturer works on a new plug-in hybrid model too. Most of the options will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, while the potential buyers will be able to choose between rear- and all-wheel drive.

Like we said, the amazing 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will make its debut late this year. However, the sale won’t begin until next spring. The base model will cost around $50K.
