2019 Lincoln Aviator SUV Previewed By The Amazing Concept

Officially, you are looking a concept vehicle, but essentially, this is the all-new mid-size 2019 Lincoln Aviator SUV that offers an upscale treatment and three rows of seating. Some may say that Ford’s premium division made the baby Navigator, but we don’t think so. No, the nameplate looks somehow otherwise. Perhaps we see Jag’s DNA here or the 2019 Aviator looks as smooth as the British rival. As far as we think, the mid-sizer appears to be a more attractive option than the bigger brother.

The all-new Aviator is not just a fine and a smoothly shaped piece of metal. It’s also an ultra-luxurious three-row crossover with plenty of benefits inside. The cab will definitely be the strongest card of the high-riding gorgeous. Do we really have to describe the impressive leather treatment? Well, of course not, because you see the awesome arrangement, which is perfectly paired with aluminum inserts. In addition, the driver can pick optional 30-way adjustable front seats with massage function. The second row of seats slides and reclines of course, though both the second and third rows are positioned higher than usual. As for the third row, it appears to be able to accommodate adults at the first glance.

The crossover is mated to the latest Sync infotainment system with a pretty large infotainment touchscreen. The feature is totally Navigator’s which is not bad at all, but it’s already familiar. Though, the system is expected to be more intuitive, so-to-say, because it triggers certain system when they are needed. For instance, when fuel is low, navigation will start instantly to find the closest gas station, which is, you have to admit, a quite useful feature. In addition, the 2019 Lincoln Aviator will host Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system, reverse camera and auto high-beam lighting.

The carmaker hasn’t explained what exactly powers the concept. They’ve said that the 2019 Lincoln Aviator uses a twin-turbocharged plug-in hybrid. We are pretty sure it’s going to be the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 mated to a single electric motor, but let’s wait what the carmaker has to say. The plug-in hybrid is not going to be the only option available. The carmaker will offer a few additional gasoline options for sure. In case you think that the power is going to be the strongest card regarding the drive, think again, because the automaker coupled the crossover with Suspension Preview Technology that will ensure ultra-smooth ride by using a forward-facing camera that will scan the road. After the scan, the system will prepare dumpers for the upcoming unevenness.

The luxury mid-size crossover will have to fight with plenty of rivals. Some of the biggest names in the segment are the Audi Q7, Acura MDX, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Volvo XC90, but we think that the 2019 Lincoln Aviator can handle that pressure without any problem. The SUV will become available early next year. However, the carmaker hasn’t revealed any pricing information so far.
