2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE Spotted With Less Camouflage

The new generation Mercedes-Benz GLE is slowly losing camouflage, so we can almost figure out everything that regards the amazing SUV. Judging by the latest spy shots, the high-riding vehicle painted in red is featuring a bit more aggressive exterior styling that we’ve expected. There are plenty of changes across the front end: Compared to the current model, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will host a beefier front bumper and a completely new mesh grille. The redesigned crossover still hides its new “eyes”, though we think that they largely resemble the newest version of the E-Class.

Aside of the new front end, the 2019 Mercedes GLE rides on 21-inch alloy wheels. The new profile appears to be sportier than earlier and paired with roof rails. The new rear end is still deeply buried beneath the black “skin”, but we can see a pair of oval exhaust tips and a wavier rear hatch. As for the taillights, they should be LED-treated.

Inside, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will switch from the COMAND infotainment to the new and amazing new MBUX, which made its debut with the new-gen A-Class. Still, since we are talking about the new GLE, you can expect a far larger touchscreen and the latest semi-autonomous aid.

In addition, the SUV will likely use pretty much the same engines as the E-Class. The most potent inline-six option will deliver up to 429 horsepower. Though, Mercedes will not forget to offer a hybrid powertrain, as well as the amazing twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 under the hood of the AMG-treated GLE.

The totally redesigned 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will be introduced before the end of this year, which means that it will be available on sale in early 2019. The base option will be priced slightly over $50K.
