Updated 2019 Nissan Titan and Titan XD Introduced At Texas State Fair

The 2019 Nissan Titan and Titan XD have been unveiled a day ago at this year’s Texas State Fair. We have to say that the updated half-ton pickup truck doesn’t really count a big number of changes, but it’s even more important to emphasize that the updates essentially improve the vehicle.

From now on, the 2019 Titian is going to have a 7.0-inch NissanConnect infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The change is pretty big because today’s model comes paired with not so impressive 5-inch color audio display. There’s also an additional USB port, while PRO-4X, SL, and Platinum Reserve trims get two more USB-A charging ports. The Japanese automaker offers the Fender premium audio system as an optional, while you can choose between 10 and 12 speakers. A nine-channel amplifier and a subwoofer are also among available kit. Titan’s King Cab and Crew Cab models are equipped with standard Rear Door Alert system, which reminds drivers to check the rear seats for children.

The manufacturer decided not to offer an entry-level V6 model which has been Nisan’s promise for years. No, the option is postponed for now. Instead, the potential buyers will be able to choose between a familiar 5.6-liter V8 engine that produces 390 hp and 394 pound-feet of torque and a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8 engine with 310 hp and 555 pound-feet of grunt. The mills come coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission and either a standard rear- or an optional four-wheel drive system.

The updated 2019 Nissan Titan gets an expanded color palette as it includes Midnight Pine and Moab Sunset.

Nissan hasn’t announced anything regarding the price of the updated half-ton pickup truck, but we suppose that the base cost is going to go slightly up due to a better infotainment.
