The vanilla model is going to be called the 2019 BMW X2 M35i just as the hatchback sibling. It’s going to be paired with a more potent engine for sure. The latest reports claim that the SUV is going to use a new 2.0-liter twin-power turbo mill which will reportedly be able to pump out up to 300 horsepower. Though, some sources indicate that the car manufacturer is preparing a 3.0-liter turbo with 370 horsepower for the hot tiny SUV. Still, we will stick to the first report, because the carmaker isn’t going to use any kind of six-cylinder engine now. No, this may happen just if BMW decides to add even more potent M model, which isn’t in short-term plans for sure. In any case, the 2.0-liter engine will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Aside it’s going to use a more potent engine, the 2019 BMW X2 M35i will also get a few cosmetic changes. More precisely, the crossover will host the M Sport exterior package, which includes a small rework on the front bumper and a bigger exhaust tips around back. The coupe-like crossover will also feature a special, lowered suspension system and larger wheels. The alloys appear to be 20-inch big and mated to larger brakes with bright blue M Sport calipers. Of course, the manufacturer is not going to forget to change something inside as well. However, don’t expect anything too big at all, but just a few styling tweaks here and there.
