I-RVM stands for Intelligent Rear View Mirror – the technology that uses a camera mounted to the Armada’s rear and sends a real-time video fed to the LCD display, which is mounted on the rearview mirror. Screen ratio is about 4:1, so you will have a clear picture what’s going on behind yours SUV. The technology is quite useful when you load the rear seats or cargo, but it doesn’t give you any information what’s happening in the vehicle, which might be a problem when you have children. However, a button deactivates the camera, so you can easily switch to the normal rear-view mirror anytime you want.

The system isn’t everything the 2018 Nissan Armada gets this year. No, the large SUV hosts other, mostly technology changes. The manufacturer updated the existing infotainment system by making NissanConnect Services standard, as it’s going to be the access to SiriusXM Travel Link in the first three years. Voice recognition and hands-free text messaging features are also standard, while the SUV gets three more USB ports.

The slightly updated 2018 Nissan Armada has a slightly higher price. The SV and SL trims are about $700 more expensive, while the topping Platinum trim new costs $60,155, which is $1,100 extra on the previous price.

There is nothing new regarding the powertrain. The updated Armada will still use a 390 horsepower 5.6-liter V8 paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. Though, you will have to add $2,900 for the front-wheel drive model.
