2019 Audi Q3: Engines and Platform

One of the most important changes of the next generation Q3 will be the size. The car manufacturer plans to make larger crossover and thus make more space for the upcoming Q1, which will now come at the bottom of the range. This growth will likely include a new MQB platform, and probably new engines that will be shared with the next generation Volkswagen Tiguan. According to the latest rumors, the 2019 Audi Q3 will add an Ultra model that will come with tiny and eco-friendly 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine and S-tronic transmission. The engine will deliver pretty small output, just a little bit over 100 horsepower. On the other hand, the new generation SQ3 will get a 2.0-liter BiTDI diesel engine with around 240 HP, while the most powerful 2019 RS Q3 version likely continues with its turbocharged 2.5-liter TFSI mill. There is also an interesting story about the arrival of the Q3 e-tron. Supposedly, the electric SUV will share the drivetrain with the current A3 e-tron.

2019 Audi Q3: First Redesign Details

As for the redesign, the 2019 Audi Q3 won’t be too different from the current generation. There will be lots of new details, but still, we think that the present model should evolve into something new and refreshing, and yet distinctive. In addition, the front end could feature a little bit more aggressive and more dynamic, perhaps more similar to the new Q7 SUV.

The all-new Q3 SUV won’t be ready another two years, so there will be more information about it. Stay tuned.
