The upcoming 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show will host a number of truly inspiring models without any doubt. One vehicle will actually use the “inspiration” word in its nameplate, but we can’t really figure out how and where the word fits with the 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series.
The SUV is about a month away from its official debut, but regardless of the fact, the automaker released practically everything we need to know about it. The special edition uses some special effects (so to say) in order to be cool and mysterious, but that’s pretty much everything.
More precisely, the 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series is all-black from the outside and mostly white inside of the cabin. The automaker used black exterior color, which has been spiced up by countless details in the same tone. The luxurious vehicle rides on black 21-inch wheels, while the front end hosts an interesting grille with dark surrounds. Black accents have been added to the headlights, fog lights, and windows, while the headlights also feature smoked lenses. In the rear, the 2019 LX Inspiration Series gets some extra chrome (also dark) around taillights and license plate.
Inside, the special edition gets an interesting two-tone leather arrangement. Truth to be told, white leather prevails, but the overall impression is definitely better thanks to the black parts. The cabin also includes a color head-up display and rear-seat entertainment, as well as Lexus’ Climate Concierge and 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
There’s nothing surprising under the hood of the SUV. The vehicle will use an identical powertrain like any other LX, which means that you can expect a 383-hp 5.7-liter V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive.
The carmaker will make 500 examples of the 2019 Lexus LX Inspiration Series. Each of them will cost $101,715 including destination charges.
