2020 BMW X4 M Photographed Uncovered

Even though we thought otherwise, the Bavarian car manufacturer is not going to introduce the high-end X4 M coupe SUV this year. Instead, the vehicle will have to wait until early 2019 to be unveiled which is a shame because the crossover appears to be ready even now. Well, okay, the single picture that has been photographed in the Spartanburg factory in South Carolina reveals the rear end of the 2020 BMW X4 M so we can’t guarantee that the job is done, but nevertheless, the SUV really looks ready to burn the high-performance tires.

The uncovered rear end shows a mighty exhaust system that counts up to four tailpipes. There’s also a pair of slim and attractive taillights, as well as the M badge next to the X4 on the liftgate. It’s not easy to determine the size of the “shoes” from here, though we think that the coupe SUV uses 21-inch wheels. In addition, there is an aggressive diffuser and an interesting bumper, which fits perfectly to the brawny fenders. Uphill, you can see the smooth roof which is likely complemented with a round front end. We suppose that the front of the car hides an enlarger grille and plenty of holes which will suck the air in order to cool off the engine.

Speaking of the engine, we can’t skip mentioning that the 2020 BMW X4 M is going to use an awesome powerplant. The high-riding model will be mated to a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6. The unit will reportedly pump out between 460 and 500 horsepower, which will power the xDrive system via a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission. For those who hold fingers crossed for a manual gearbox, let them go because that’s not going to happen for sure. Instead, the model will get steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Stay tuned for updates.
